Legislation worldwide and current technologies used in the treatment of offshore oil and gas/condensate produced water are mainly aimed at the removal of dispersed hydrocarbons (dispersed oil).
Operating at a pH range of 0-14, these membranes are ideal when aggressive alkaline cleaners are the preferred cleaning chemical or strong alkaline process streams are being treated.
The Silica Sorption Process, specifically designed to treat SAGD produced water, offers a more robust solution to the challenges of handling and disposal of evaporator concentrates derived from produced water.
