Woodside is Australia's largest publicly traded oil and gas exploration and production company and one of the world's leading producers of LNG.
Woodside is preparing to develop the Pluto gas field, and construct a new LNG Park on the Burrup Peninsula in Australia. The aim is to produce LNG for export.
The field is estimated to contain 4.1 trillion cubic feet of dry gas.
Woodsite had to meet stringent environmental requirements in order to get the approval to go ahead on this new plant.
Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies Australia has been awarded the Design & Supply contract for the entire Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) at the Woodside Pluto Onshore Liquified Natural Gas Project in Western Australia.
The plant will recover produced water, treat oil contaminated water to remove hydrocarbons and treat recovered water onshore for reuse on site.
